John Burbeck, lead of the Cruising Association’s (CA) orca project group, will discuss the phenomenon of orca interactions along the Iberian Peninsula. The situation is naturally of concern to the sailing community and the CA is committed to sharing knowledge and enhancing research. John will share insights on the understanding gained from orca interactions since 2022, including orca behaviour, interaction data and analysis, reporting interactions, location maps, along with safety advice and deterrent measures.
