Phil Robertson leads the Sail GP China Team. Sailing is Phil Robertson\u2019s life and has been since the age of 10, when he started racing competitively. With a preference and enjoyment for a team environment he joined the prestigious RNZYS youth training program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 21, Robertson created and led his own team and steadily climbed \nthe ranks of match racing, before winning the world championships in the\n new format, M32 catamarans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robertson has participated in many of the world\u2019s most iconic and challenging ocean races and he has his sights set on one-day competing in an elite circumnavigation event.
He is a sportsman at heart with a love and passion for the ocean and sailing. With a competitive streak, off the water he can be found running and competing in triathlons. In 2015 he completed an Ironman in a time of 10hrs and 4mins, a challenge he plans to repeat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
