Listen in on our interview with John Shannon \u2013 a CPA on dry land \u2013 an artist on the water. If you have heard of Burning Man \u2013 think of a gathering on the water \u2013 and celebrating the boating life and arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, John Shannon returned from living abroad to find old land friends boating with the Washed Up Yacht Club<\/a>. He began sailing with WUYC folks and was asked to bring a dock float raft island to Ephemerisle<\/a> deep in the Delta with little experience and no vessel and he had a very challenging time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

John has since acquired a sailboat (1976 C&C 29, s\/v Red Witch) with a friend and graduated to a barge island\u00a0for Ephemerisle (Flatland). Building boating\u00a0community sailing and helping preserve water access have become passions that he dedicates much of my free time to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
