John Arndt and Baja Ha-Ha

The Baja Ha-Ha is a 750 mile cruising rally from San Diego to Mexico. The recent Baja Ha-Ha was the 26th consecutive rally and had a fleet of over 150 boats. Since its inception in 1994, more than 3,400 boats and 11,000 sailors have participated in this annual cruising migration to Mexico. The Baja Ha-Ha was founded by Latitude 38 magazine when then publisher, Richard Spindler, organized the traditional migration of southbound cruisers. Richard Spindler continues to run the annual event while Latitude 38, with current publisher John Arndt, remains the event’s primary sponsor. The rally gathers cruisers from Alaska, Canada, the Pacific Northwest and California as they make their way south towards Mexico’s tropical, winter cruising grounds.
