Long time members/leaders of Ebony Boat Club based in Stockton, California, established in 1987 and
and the leaders with the Ebony Youth Foundation established in 2016.
Both have served as Commodores and various other leadership roles at EBC and Otis Brock is the Treasurer for Recreational Boaters Of California (RBOC) and the Ebony Youth Foundation (EYF).
Marilyn and Otis Brock received the Pacific Inter-club Yacht Association (PICYA) 2021 Meritorious Service Award & Trophy recognition for two rescues at sea in one day where they helped to save several lives on disabled boats.

Boating safety is a central value for PICYA and for responsible recreational boaters everywhere.
Within the context of safety is the sometimes unspoken commitment to help our fellow boaters, and to risk our own comfort and safety when necessary to go to the aid of others to protect life and property.
This Meritorious Service Award is presented to any boatsman or person regardless of their affiliation who has performed exceptional acts of rescue and aid in saving of life and/or property in the age old tradition of the sea.
The Ebony Youth Foundation is the educational and scholarship component of the Ebony Boat Club. Our mission is to provide the youth of our community with water and boating safety education and award college scholarships to a cross section of talented and deserving youth in need of financial support.
Plus ifelong service to support youth at risk and to feed and clothe the homeless. Taking kids fishing and other on the water activities.
The Ebony Boat Club has provided the youth in our community fun and educational water-related activities and college scholarships since 1987. The Ebony Youth Foundation was established in 2016 to provide even more education and increase the fund raising efforts for our scholarship program. A registered 501(C)(3) charitable organization. 100% of donations go directly to our scholarship recipients.
This 🌎 is still filled with people who care and will jump in to aid their fellow person. I hope their selfless act will encourage others to take care of one another!
Otis and Marilyn are the greatest! Two rescues in one day! They are always going out of their way to help others!
