Maritime Historian Jerry Roberts

Join us for our Tuesday Sail Sport Talk show with Guest Jerry Roberts.

Jerry is an author, historian and museum consultant who has spent his career discovering history’s untold stories and bringing them to the public through books, feature articles, documentaries, museum exhibits, and public speaking. He has served as executive director for the National Lighthouse Museum, the New England Air Museum, the Connecticut River Museum and as vice president at the Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum in New York City.

He has navigated vessels, large and small, the length of the Atlantic seaboard, and has run underwater archeology programs visiting a wide range of shipwrecks off the east coast. He is also a life-long sailor.

From exhibits to books and documentaries, in the end it is all about effective story telling. “History is nothing more, or less, than the story of you and me. It is the greatest reality show ever produced, and we’re making more every day!”
