Now that the sport of Sailing has become a weekly part of Sports Byline 24/7 International syndicated programming for over 3 years, its time to talk a little about the music listened to on boats, and frankly everywhere. Lile talks about growing up part time in LA, and the behind the scenes life of LA Session Musician Tony Terran, who first came to Hollywood with Desi Arnaz and was the lead trumpet player for the I Love Lucy Show, the Carol Burnett Show and spent 40 years recording on thousands of albums and film scores. Karen brings to the studio a royalty statement from SAGAFTRA that reveals some of those artists. Because Tony was part of the Wrecking Crew in LA, there have been some mysteries to unravel for his children Dave, Eve, Jennifer, his stepdaughter Aprile and his neice Karen Lile. One of those was when and where Tony played with John Lennon, Ringo Star, George Harrison and Paul McCartney. In June 2022, Karen Lile was doing some provenance research for a famous person’s $5 million piano, for her business Piano Finders, and while she was staying at the New York Yacht Club, found clues as to where this Beatles session was, that Karen Lile’s cousin Dave Terran was able to confirm.
