Latitude 38’s Max Ebb on Sail Sport Talk – Coriolis Effect

For more than 30 years Max Ebb and Lee Helm have been having scintilating conversations about sailing science in the No. California magazine, Latitude 38. Now they are come to life on Sail Sport Talk.

Max Ebb has been sailing and racing on San Francisco Bay for almost 50 years. But he grew up sailing in Long Island Sound, where in his misspent youth he got in and out of all kinds of trouble on small sailboats.

Lee Helm is a grad student in Naval Architecture from the Valley. She windsurfs, kiteboards, and crews on big race boats, and she always ends up explaining simple stuff to Max. He has an engineering degree, but he got bounced up to management early in his career so he’s forgotten almost all of it.
