Mixed Double-Handed class is set to debut at the 2024 Olympic Regatta, which has sparked wide interest in the discipline as well as Jeanneau’s Sun Fast 3300, which fits the bill for easy performance handling by short-handed crews.

Nick Harvey, President of Jeanneau America expects three of the 3300s to join the Mixed Double-Handed class of the Ida Lewis Distance Race this August.

Mike Coe wants to help grow double-handed sailing in the US. Early adopters of the Sun Fast – the 2020 Boat of the Year – are family oriented in this pandemic year such as father/daughter and father/son combos. Designed to be a reaching and running boat. A 33 foot twin rudder – in Europe known as a 10 metre – with a water balance addition that replaces the rail meat.

Excited about the Ida Lewis – Mike has raced in it 3 times in the past.
