Meet out guest Matthew Byers who has invested in a lifelong commitment to the history of flags and burgees thru the ages – as well as created a business to feed his passion.

Matthew has been in the burgee and flag manufacturing business since 1987. He has collected what is possibly the worlds largest collection of Yacht Club burgees – just over 1100!

Boating on SF Bay and The Delta his entire life, he serves as the Fleet Captain at Loch Lomond YC, as Director for the Northern California Yacht Association known as PICYA, and as Director for Pacific Coast Yachting Association.
